Travelling August 26, 2007

I made some travel themed cards for a swap.

The big cats are from my new favourite stamp company OnyxXpressions and I got them from Vienna Impressions. These, and others by the same company which I have, are slightly out of my comfort zone but it’s nice to do something much more challenging sometimes. The Africa map in the background is from a German company called Unicorn Stempel. I have had it for years but never used it before.

It’s was my birthday earlier this month and I was really lucky to receive loads of amazing handmade cards.

This nice teabag folding card is from Megan.

This medallion with a holographic background is from Sue.

This stunning black and red card is from Wendy.

This ethnic card is from Caz.

This lovely wren is from Annie.

Vintage lady is from Debbie.

This one, in my favourite colour, is from Trixie.

Another lovely teabag folding card, this one is from San.

This flower fairy card is from Joan.

This oriental screen card is from Lynn.
Aren’t they all wonderful? Almost a month after my birthday and these cards still occupy a prime location in the living room.
Music ATCs August 22, 2007

I swapped ATCs with a theme music. We had a long list of bands and artists and had to do 10 out of the list. This is what I came up with:

U2: One Tree Hill and Helter Skelter

Sting: Sister Moon and All Four Seasons

Nik Kershaw: Faces and All is Fair

Abba: Thank You for the Music and Super Trouper

Enya: The Frog Prince and Paint the Sky with Stars
Music is such good inspiration for cards. I loved doing these.
REM part 2 August 4, 2007

REM ATC swap I took part in a while ago was so much fun that we decided to do part 2. Here are my REM ATCs:

I love that cat stamp. It’s by OnyxXpressions and I got it from Vienna Impressions. It is so life-like and incredibly detailed. I coated the cat’s eyes with Glossy Accents so they look really cool.

These two girls are not from the REM swap. They are my first attempt on magazine image ATCs. I cut images from magazines, coated them with gesso and painted with acrylics. The remember girl looks a bit Vulcan to me
