I swapped a mini book with a friend. We both decorated all 8 pages plus the cover of a 4″x4″ Maya Road cardboard book. All 8 pages had a different theme. This is what mine looks like:

Tile coasters April 15, 2008

I made these tile coasters the other day. First I put some alcohol inks on the tiles. The images are stamped on silkpaper with Stazon ink and then adhered to the tiles with decoupage medium. The edges of the tiles are painted with copper pen and at the bottom I glued some felt to protect the surfacies. Stamps are by Zettiology and Paper Artsy.

Looking boxes April 11, 2008

I altered some matchboxes and instead of filling them with little things that the recipient can take out of the box these have things glued inside the box. So all you can do is look at them ;)

box1

The silver box is covered inside and out with aluminium tape with some diecuts trapped inside. The drawer handle is a resistor. The spring box has patterned paper on top and the drawer has been painted with acrylics.

box2

Silver box, or techno box, is filled with bits and bobs from an old digital camera and clock. The spring box is filled with all things springy and yellow. I especially like the techno box. The aluminium tape makes it feel ice cold to the touch.
