CD book August 26, 2008

I made this cool book using old CDs. I was inspired by a book called Story People by Brian Andreas and all the texts I used are from this book. The CD book is bound with the Bind-it-all.

Page 1: “She told me once that the year she went to England she painted all her buttons yellow so she would remember what the sun felt like.”

Page 2: “The first time her laughter unfurled its wings in the wind, we knew that the world would never be the same.”

Page 3: “When I first discovered the moon, he said, I gave it a different name. But everyone kept calling it the moon. The real name never caught on.”

Page 4: “For a long time, she flew only when she thought no one else was watching.”

Page 5: “Are you a princess? I said & she said I’m much more than a princess but you don’t have a name for it yet here on earth.”

Page 6: “The first time I played golf, I had the most fun throwing bread to the
goldfish in the pro shop. It made as much sense as anything else.”

Lefties’ day August 22, 2008

To celebrate the left-hander’s day last week I scribbled and stamped my left hand.

I noticed my mistake when the page was finished. I put that left hand is my scissor hand but it’s not. I can’t believe I didn’t remember. I’m not able to cut anything with scissors with my left hand. Oh well, not the end of the world, I guess.
#1 Off with your head August 19, 2008

I’ve had this stamped Zetti lady without a head on my desk for a long time so I decided to do something with it. Although the ladies and their heads didn’t turn out too outrageous I’ll submit this to Trish Bee’s Artbuzz challenge, off with your head. These are not really my usual thing but I had fun cutting and pasting.

I made a Zetti bracelet from shrink plastic. I feel like a decorated Christmas tree when wearing it because it jingles and then some. Even the dogs are scared of it.

I got this award from Billie. Thank you so much Billie - this is much appreciated.

These are the rules:
1) You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for, creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributing to the blogger community, no matter what language.
2) Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
3) Each award-winner, has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.
4) Award-winners and the one who has given the prize should show the link to the Arte y pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5) To show these rules.
I have been looking through loads of amazing blogs but they all already have this award so I’m going to be a wuss and not pass this on. If you are reading this and have not yet received this award, consider yourself awarded.

Such a cool date today, 080808! I just had to do a little doodling to recognize that.
The numbers are stamped with foam stamps and Brilliance white ink. Doodling is done with Sakura’s gel pens.

6×4 Challenge – floral August 4, 2008

This is my first ever entry to an online challenge. This one is a 6 x 4 challenge with a floral theme at Stamping Mad. It’s an anything goes challenge so I decided to stamp some flowers and doodle around them.
