Wooden delight vol.2 March 13, 2009

I made yet another necklace. It is similar to these but with strips from an English-speaking book which I did not ink. I did not pay any attention to the text and when I finished the bead it says ‘assassin’ right in the middle! Oops. Turn it around and it says ‘wonderful’. The smaller wooden beads are coated in Brilliance’s Victorian Violet which is one of my most favourite colours ever! The whole lot is coated in glossy gel medium.

I saw these really cool Elvis napkins once in the shop and thought they would make nice coasters. I decoupaged them onto tiles and coated them a couple of times with glossy furniture lacquer.

And then I could not stop. The next two lots are made using wrapping paper.

And then I got totally carried away. These are made using patterned paper.

I have been recycling again. I made this cool thick book out of a cardboard box. I cut 13 x 13 cm pages out of it and covered them with patterned paper. I used a different black & white paper on each page and there is a solid black paper on the other side of each page to calm it down a bit. I punched holes to the side and attached some book rings to hold it together. Now I just need to fill it…

I have not done any ATCs for a long time so it was finally time to swap a couple. This swap was for Zetti ATCs.
