The Tardis just revealed…

… some lanterns. They have been coloured with alcohol inks. Then I just added some wire and acrylic beads.

Here is no. 18:

Looks like rain, dear! Actually, it doesn’t but these reindeer are really wooden. The wood shape has been covered by paper and then coated in Glossy Accents. A brooch back is glued on at the back.

No. 17 comes a day late because I was without an Internet connection all day yesterday. Arrggg.

So, here comes…

Stitch markers. I rolled up some paper strips which are then heat embossed. I didn’t have any other suitable rings, so I used little key rings. Seems to work a treat. And while I was at it, I made some more:

I’ve been saving this plastic cord for ages. I couldn’t figure out how to tie it. A knot would have been too bulky. Then it hit me: one of those cord crimps! I don’t know how I couldn’t think of that before. I used little jingle bells on these. Hopefully they won’t drive me crazy while knitting.

I wanted to know if I could bend a really big loop. Seems to have worked ok. I bent the wire round a thick knitting needle. The beads are plastic. Don’t really want to use them on jewellery but they are just fine as stitch markers, I think.

Drawer no. 16 proves it:

This calendar is a tardis! I just pulled some candles out of its little drawer. The images have been stamped on tissue paper and melted onto the candles with a heat gun.

Way past halfway now, here is drawer no. 14:

It’s polymer clay again! This time it’s buttons. I like polymer clay buttons on knitted things, especially on knitted bags.

Drawer no. 13 holds…

… a very small accordion book. There is a shrink plastic piece on the front as well as back cover. It’s about 2 x 2,8 cm in size.

It’s time to open drawer no. 11:

Ta-dah! Shrink plastic buttons! I used white shrink plastic and Brilliance’s Starlite Black ink. I pressed a swirly stamp onto the hot shrink plastic to get the embossed pattern. The diameter of the buttons was about 6,5 cm before shrinking, and about 2,5 cm afterwards.

Here is drawer no. 10:

It’s a shrink plastic necklace. The image was stamped with Stazon on clear shrink plastic. I added a few glass beads and some chain.
