I went all Scandinavian minimalist for a change.

I can explain about the last one. It just had to be done in Finnish. ‘Hätä ei lue lakia’ means literally ‘Emergency does not read the law’ but the English equivalent would be ‘Desperate times call for desperate actions’. This is a summer cottage country and although some cottages have been equipped with the latest mod cons, some people still want to get away from it all and their cottages have no electricity, no running water, but naturally the outside bog.

Less is often more, don’t you think? Besides, and more to the point, there’s less work involved. Vive l’idlers.

  2. Sari says:

Absolutely, but less is only more when more is no good 🙂 I do less because I like the clean lines and no fuss, but also because I’m not very good at doing the opposite. Idle is as idle does, as they say 🙂

  3. Ronald says:

I’m an idle bastard. Never tried to deceive on that 🙂
