Flower power

Posted: April 30, 2011 in Sewing

I don’t really wear any dresses or skirts, and I’m not into flowery patterns. So it’s a bit strange that I would turn an old pair of jeans into a flowery skirt.

It’s even stranger that I would make a matching handbag too. The bag is a bit more rock ‘n’ roll though, since I left the edges on the outside and they can fray on their own over time.

What a good idea, love the thought of the bag fraying and becoming worn.

Thanks Sue. The plan is that it’ll fray nicely and in a controlled manner so that it won’t end up looking a mess πŸ™‚
