Flowery woollies

Posted: June 29, 2012 in Knitting & crochet

Well, ‘summer’ as it is, I continue with the woollies. This was another panic knit just before I started to watch a film. Another two balls of leftover yarn bit the dust! It was supposed to be just a plain old rib hat but since I had just a small bundle of yarn left I decided to crochet a flower. I’m not usually one for big floral things but I kind of like this. Amazingly I had one blue button (I have tons of buttons but only ONE in blue!! Ha!) and the most amazing thing is that it was the right kind of shade of blue. I just had to add it to the centre of the flower.

Apparently, we should be moving away from woolly hat weather now but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Beautiful hat, the flower really suits it too. I have had a lot of use of the cowl I made this ‘summer’ too.

Love the shade of blue you used. I adore blues and purples.

    best wishes

Thanks Billie. I love that shade of blue too. The yarn is ‘Nepal’ by Drops. Very soft mixture of wool and alpaca.

    No, I’m not on Twitter.
